Tim joined Greenstone Partners in 2005 and has a wide range of experience in corporate finance, investment banking and private equity in Australia and New Zealand. Since joining Greenstone Partners, Tim has worked on a variety of transactions including:

  • The sale of Marstel Holdings to Stolt-Nielsen Limited (pending);
  • The acquisition by Lion Nathan New Zealand and joint venture partner Indevin of the Lindauer Wine Company from Pernod Ricard;
  • The sale of Hudson Building Supplies to Crane Group;
  • The subscription by Metcash for a 50.1% shareholding in the Mitre 10 Group;
  • The acquisition of Ross Roofing by CSR;
  • The sale of BJ Ball Papers to Pencarrow Private Equity;
  • The sale of Red Paper Group's paper merchanting business in Australia to CPI Group and the acquisition by Red Paper Group of CPI Group's paper merchanting business in New Zealand;
  • The sale of The Billy Hyde Group to Crescent Capital Partners;
  • The acquisition of Transaction Services by Greenstone Partners Private Capital;
  • Advising senior management on their participation in the $1.83 billion leveraged buy-out of Brambles' BIS Australia and Cleanaway businesses by US based private equity firm, KKR; and
  • The sale of E Com Industries to Retail Decisions.

Prior to joining Greenstone Partners, Tim was an investment manager at Archer Capital, a leading Australian private equity firm, where he worked on a broad range of transactions across a variety of sectors including the $500 million management buy-out of earthmoving rental equipment business, Emeco International.

Before commencing his career in corporate finance, Tim reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Australian Navy.

Tim holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University, a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from the University of New South Wales and has completed two of the three levels in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Tim is married and has a son and daughter. He enjoys running, swimming and surfing.
